Description

Introducing our Custom Printed Met Police Barrier Covers, the perfect branding solution for festivals and sporting events. Manufactured specifically to fit the custom dimensions of a Met Police Barrier cover, these covers measure 1490mm in length by 920mm in height. Every cover is manufactured in-house on our HP Latex R2000, guaranteeing stunning full-colour printing results that wonโ€™t fade easily, even with prolonged exposure to outdoor conditions.ย

Met Police Barrier Breakdown

Met Police barrier covers are made to fit standard Met police crowd control barriers. These are the smaller, sturdier barriers originally associated with policing in London, now in common use across the UK at events, stadiums, road closures and public gatherings.

A standard Met police barrier measures 1526mm in width, 1065mm in height and 705mm in depth, and weighs around 26kg. The cover is manufactured at 1490mm x 920mm to sit over the panel area of that frame. It is deliberately smaller than the overall barrier dimensions because the frame measurement includes the feet and the outer edges that the cover is not intended to wrap around.

The cover is a separate item from the barrier. Barriers are not supplied with this product. The cover fits over the barrier frame and secures through the eyelets with cable ties.

Sizing is fixed at 1490mm x 920mm, and we do not produce this cover to bespoke measurements for this specific product. If your barriers are a different type or size, tell us before ordering, and we will custom-manufacture them to your requirements.ย

Main Features and Benefits

Fixed 1490mm x 920mm size, made to fit Met police barriers

Every cover is manufactured to a single fixed size of 1490mm in length by 920mm in height. This is the standard size for Met Police crowd-control barriers. Because the size is fixed, there is nothing for you to measure and no risk of a sizing error on your side

PVC or PVC Mesh Banner Material

We offer two types of banner material: PVC and Mesh. For outdoor use, we recommend Mesh, as the material has thousands of tiny holes that allow air to pass through without hindering the visibility of the design.ย

Reinforced hems, metal eyelets and rounded top corners

Covers are finished with a reinforced hem, metal eyelets and rounded top corners with holes for connecting adjacent barriers. The covers can be easily fixed by threading cable ties through the eyelets. This fixing method is strong enough to ensure the covers can withstand tough weather and heavy foot traffic.ย

Advanced Print Technology

Every cover is manufactured in-house using our cutting-edge HP Latex R2000. This guarantees sharp, crisp and vibrant print results that are exceptionally long-lasting. We also employ advanced colour matching technology to ensure exceptional colour accuracy between your artwork and the cover.ย

Long-Term Outdoor Use

Engineered for long-term use indoors or outdoors, these covers can be repeatedly used across events. You can expect between 3-5 years of use before requiring replacement if cared for properly.ย

Material Options on Offer

330gsm PVC Mesh

PVC mesh is perforated, so wind passes through it rather than pushing against it. This is the option to choose for exposed outdoor sites, seafronts, open squares, long unbroken runs of barriers and anywhere the barriers are freestanding rather than anchored. Colour still prints strongly, but the perforation makes the finish slightly less solid than PVC when viewed up close.

440gsm PVC

Solid 440gsm PVC delivers the strongest colour reproduction and the cleanest finish, making it the better choice when branding needs to read sharply in photographs or at close range. Use it for indoor events, sheltered sites, short barrier runs and situations where the barriers are weighted, anchored or backed against a structure.

FAQ

What are Met Police barrier covers?

Met Police barrier covers are printed covers designed to fit over standard Met Police crowd-control barriers. They are used to brand or identify a controlled area at events, road closures, demonstrations and public gatherings.

Which barriers do the covers fit?

They fit standard Met police crowd control barriers measuring 1526mm in width, 1065mm in height and 705mm in depth, weighing around 26kg. The cover itself is manufactured to a fixed size of 1490mm in length by 920mm in height. If your barriers are a different type or size, contact us before ordering.

Why is the cover smaller than the barrier?

The barrier measurement of 1526mm x 1065mm covers the whole frame, including the feet and outer edges. The cover is made at 1490mm x 920mm to sit over the barrier’s panel area, which is the part you actually want branded.

Are the barriers included?

No. This product is the printed cover only. It is for customers who already have the barriers and need them covered and branded.

What material are the covers made from?

Two options are available: 330 gsm PVC mesh and 440 gsm PVC. Both are fire-rated to B1 and suitable for outdoor use.

Which material should I choose?

Choose 330gsm PVC mesh for exposed outdoor sites, freestanding barrier runs, and windy locations, as the perforated material allows wind to pass through. Choose 440gsm PVC for indoor use, sheltered sites and anywhere the branding needs the strongest possible colour reproduction.

Are the covers fire rated?

Yes. Both the 330gsm PVC mesh and the 440gsm PVC are fire rated to B1.

Are the covers printed on both sides?

The cover is printed on one side, but it folds over onto itself to create a double-sided print effect. This is the standard setup for barrier covers.

How do the covers fix to the barrier?

The best way to secure these covers is to combine metal eyelets with cable ties. Covers are finished with a reinforced hem and rounded top corners with holes for connecting adjacent barriers.

How long do the covers last outdoors?

3 to 5 years in outdoor use. The covers are reusable, washable and weather-resistant so a single set can be redeployed across multiple events and sites.

Can you match our brand colours?

Yes. We use in-house colour management software to match supplied brand colours. Send your colour references with your artwork.

What artwork do you need?

Vector files are best, particularly for logos, crests and insignia. High-quality JPEG files are also accepted. Artwork should be supplied for both sides where the designs differ.

Do I get a proof before printing?

Yes. A free digital proof is issued before production, and nothing is printed until you approve it. Physical samples can be ordered separately at your own cost.

How long does production take?

5 to 7 working days from order, with next day UK mainland delivery after production. For urgent or fixed-date orders, call us before ordering to discuss fast-track options.

Can you deliver to an event site or a police location?

Yes. We deliver UK-wide, including to police sites, event locations and contractor addresses. Give us the delivery address and the required date when you order.

Can I order just one cover?

Yes. There is no minimum order quantity. Quantity-based pricing and trade pricing are available for larger orders and reseller accounts.

Do you keep our artwork on file for repeat orders?

Yes. We retain artwork and specifications for five years, so repeat orders can be produced to the same approved files without starting again.
