Their special domed acrylic centres are fantastic quality, hence why go back to them again and again, even though we receive quotes from other companies on a regular basis. Our @skill7fc logo looks absolutely amazing on the medals and trophies we hand out to the children. I cannot recommend these guys enough. 👌🏼Posted on Google Mostyn DaviesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. BEE 4 is an industrial sticker manufacturer, providing industrial-grade labelling solutions to a variety of UK industries, including manufacturing, engineering, construction and logistics. Whether you require weatherproof, UV-proof, domed, or variable-data labels, we have you covered.
At BEE 4, we manufacture industrial-strength stickers for a wide range of practical uses, from simple asset marking through to barcode tracking, machine labelling, calibration control and outdoor equipment identification.
Use the guide below to help choose the best option for your application:
| Label Type | Best Used For | Technical Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Barcode Labels | Stock control, warehouse systems, asset tracking and product ID | Printed with sharp contrast to support reliable scanning. Available with fixed or variable data. Can be finished with laminated overcoats for added durability and longevity. |
| Serial Number Labels | Tools, equipment, machinery, products and warranty tracking | Ideal for unique numbering, batch codes and traceability. Can be supplied with sequential data from a spreadsheet. |
| Calibration Labels | Inspection records, service dates and tested equipment | Commonly used in engineering, healthcare, laboratories and maintenance. Can include dates, initials, QR codes and asset numbers. |
| High Tack Labels | Textured plastic, powder-coated metal and difficult surfaces | Stronger adhesive finish helps reduce lifting on curved or low-energy plastic surfaces |
| Laminated Labels | Machinery, panels, tools and outdoor equipment | Protective laminate helps resist scratches, moisture, dirt, and everyday handling. Available in gloss or matt. |
| High Temperature Labels | Heated machinery, electrical parts, engine bays and production areas | Made using heat-resistant overlaminate. |
| Tamper Evident Labels | Security marking, warranty seals and asset protection | Designed to show signs of removal or interference. Useful where items must not be opened, moved or altered without notice. |
| UV Resistant Labels | Outdoor plant, site equipment, containers and vehicles | Manufactured with a special laminated overcoat which protects the artwork from UV. |
| QR Code Labels | Digital records, manuals, asset systems and inspection forms | Printed clearly for easy scanning. Useful for linking physical equipment to online information or service data. |
| Graphic Overlays | Control panels, keypads, machinery and electrical equipment | Used where printed instructions, buttons, symbols or warning details need to stay clear during use. Manufactured from tough Polycarbonate. |
| Brushed Aluminium Labels | Rating plates, machine labels, product badges and equipment branding | Gives a smart industrial finish while keeping the label lightweight and practical for printed detail. |
Many of our clients find the process of ordering labels for industry quite overwhelming. With a variety of different media and finishing options to choose from, it’s not always straightforward to tell which type of label you require.
To simplify this process for you, here are the 5 key questions you should ask yourself in order to determine what type of label you require for your specific application:
Different surfaces require different adhesive strengths.
Smooth metal, glass and clean painted panels are usually easy to label with a standard adhesive. On the other hand, powder-coated metal, textured plastic, and rough painted surfaces often require a high-tack adhesive because standard adhesives may not grip well.
Low-energy plastic surfaces can also be quite tricky. These are often used on storage bins, moulded cases and industrial containers. For these surfaces, a specialist high-tack adhesive is normally the safer choice.
Indoor labels may only need to handle light cleaning, stock movement and daily use. For warehouse, asset, and barcode labels, polypropylene or polyester can work well.
For Outdoor labels that need to withstand rain, sunlight, dirt, cold, heat, and surface movement, we would normally recommend vinyl with an outdoor-grade adhesive and protective laminate overcoat.
Vinyl is often a good choice for outdoor plants, containers and equipment because it handles weather and movement well. Polyester is often better for long-term assets, machinery, and engineering labels that require a tougher finish.
Factories, workshops and engineering sites are tough conditions for labels to operate within. If the label is likely to be exposed to water, oil, grease, or regular cleaning, a laminated overcoat is typically recommended to maximise durability and longevity.
For chemical exposure, the exact chemical matters. Mild cleaners are very different from solvents or harsher industrial chemicals. For tougher jobs, specialist materials or overlaminates may be advised.
For high-temperature environments, high-temperature polyester or polyimide will likely be the best fit for heated machinery, engine bays, electrical equipment and production areas.
If your industrial product labels require variable data integration, they will need sharp print and good contrast. If the code is too small, scratched or printed on the wrong finish, it may not scan well.
For long-term scanning, finishing your label with a matt laminate is often a good choice. It gives clear print and reduces glare from warehouse lighting.
