Description
Our Aluminium Dibond signs are printed full-colour, direct onto the panel, using water-based Latex ink. Rigid yet lightweight, they’re built to stay flat rather than bow or warp. Popular with retailers, construction firms, trade resellers and corporate offices, they are manufactured bespoke to your exact requirements. The perfect choice for long-term indoor or outdoor use signage.ย
Features
3mm Aluminium Dibond Panel
Every sign is made from a 3mm aluminium composite panel consisting of two 0.20mm aluminium skins bonded to a polyethylene core. It’s the thickness we stock as standard, giving a rigid, flat panel that won’t flex or bow once fixed in place.
Single or Double-Sided Print
Most signs are printed on one face, but double-sided printing is available where a sign needs to be read from both directions, such as A-frame inserts or signage viewed from two approaches.
Custom Sizing
Order your sign to the exact size you need, up to 2m x 1m in one piece. Larger single-panel sizes can be produced for an additional ยฃ15 carriage charge per unit.
Finishing Options
Choose from drilled fixing holes, rounded corners, matt or gloss lamination, and custom cut shapes, depending on how the sign will be mounted and where it’s going.
Who Orders Aluminium Dibond Signs
Retail
Shopfront and window signage, in-store directional signage, and point-of-sale display boards. The rigid, flat panel gives a straighter, more premium finish than foam-based alternatives, and holds up to being handled and repositioned between store refits.
Construction
Site identification boards, hoarding panels, and health & safety notices. The aluminium face resists the knocks and weather exposure a busy site brings, without bowing the way foam board can over a season outdoors.
Trade Resellers
Print resellers and sign companies order Dibond wholesale for their own client jobs, from small nameplates through to full-size site boards.
Corporate Offices
Reception signage, wayfinding, meeting room plates, and car park or entrance signage, where a flat, professional finish matters more than the lowest possible cost.
Benefits of Aluminium Dibond Boards
Rigid Yet Lightweight
The 0.20mm aluminium skins bonded to a polyethylene core keep the panel flat and true, while remaining light enough to lift, carry and fix without extra support.
Durable Construction
Built from aluminium and a polyethylene core, Dibond panels resist the knocks and general wear that softer signage materials pick up over time, holding their shape once mounted.
Full-Colour Digital Print
Every sign is printed in-house on our HP Latex R2000, giving sharp, full-colour detail printed directly onto the panel face rather than applied as a separate film.
Weather Resistant
Suitable for outdoor use across a wide temperature range, from -50ยฐC to +80ยฐC, making Dibond a practical choice for signage that stays outside all year round.
Recyclable Materials
Aluminium and polyethylene are both recyclable materials, worth factoring in if your business tracks the environmental footprint of its signage.
Finishing Options Explained
Drilled Holes
Pre-drilled fixing holes let you screw the sign directly to a wall, fence or frame. Itโs the most common fixing method for site boards, shopfront signs and directional signage.
Rounded Corners
Rounded corners reduce the risk of chips and snagging, suiting signage that’s handled more often, such as A-frame inserts or point-of-sale boards.
Matt or Gloss Lamination
Matt lamination cuts glare and reads well under bright lighting or direct sun; gloss lamination gives a sharper, punchier finish for signage viewed up close, such as reception or retail displays. Both options help enhance durability and longevity.
Custom Cut Shapes
We can cut your sign to a custom shape if required. Useful for logo-shaped signage, directional arrows or bespoke display boards. Contact us directly if this is a requirement.
Aluminium Dibond vs Other Signage Options
Sometimes Dibond is always the best signage option for every use case. To help ensure you’re ordering the correct signage type for your requirements, refer to the grid below that provides a brief overview of the most common signage types and their best intended use cases:ย
| Material | Rigidity | Best For |
| Aluminium Dibond | Rigid, flat aluminium-faced panel | Long-term outdoor use. Perfect for shopfronts, site boards and signage that needs to perform well long-term in outdoor exterior conditions.ย |
| Foamex (foam PVC) | Lightweight, softer foam core | Perfect for long-term indoor use or medium-term outdoor use. Cheaper than Dibond.ย |
| Correx (corrugated plastic) | Lightweight, flexible, most affordable | Ideal for temporary signage such as estate agent boards or short-run site signage. Short-term use outdoors.ย |
